Since the age of 12, I knew I wanted to be a hair stylist when I grew up. In 2001, I pursued that dream at the Carsten Aveda Institute in Tempe, Arizona. In September of 2007, I was beyond thrilled to open Trashy Roots Salon.

 

I wanted to specialize in curly cuts, so in 2013, I became a Curl Specialist. Currently, I am Curly Cut Certified in Rezo, DevaCurl and Ouidad.

 

I have been an educator, which allowed me the opportunity to work with different

salons and schools in the area to help educate them on new products, techniques and business building. 

 

In 2018, I decided to take a step back to focus on my clients and family and transitioned my business to Trashy Roots Studio. 

 

I have traveled to and lived in many different places and have always enjoyed new adventures. When I became an empty nester in 2023, I took that opportunity to relocate from Texas to North Carolina. I am very excited for

this new chapter and can’t wait to see what’s next!
